An Early Morning Christmas Poem

by Howard Winters

It's three o’clock in the morning

I slept the night almost through

And down to the south Day is dawning

I hope Santa was good to you

I'm awake up here in a snowy fairyland

That matches some you may have seen

Eight inches of snow makes Christmas Magic!

And there's Magic everywhere and it's keen

I'm aware that I should be sleeping

But old men don't sleep all that long I have found

Especially in Northwestern Ohio

When eight inches of snow covers the ground

So with the Season's Best wishes we're calling

To those of you where snow's seldom seen

May this Christmas be the best that you've ever known

And the New Year bring you all of your dreams

A VERY SPECIAL CHRISTMAS WISH ON CHRISTMAS MORNING

from Howard and Becky at an unbelievably early hour....
