Don't Hide
by Kay Florea

Don't hide.
When pain arrives, don't hide.
Feel it and know where it comes from.
Face the pain, look it straight in the eye.
Don't hide.
It will not help you.
Time heals, though you never forget.
Grab it by the throat and face it.
Don't hold it deep inside.
Don't let it kill you.
Go ahead and cry.
Reach out to a hand that will help you.
Please don't hide.
