Autumn Leaves

volume 6 number 7

Our Gift
by Melinda Ann Roach

Tiny, delicate blossom;
Falling down
On sacred earth.

Crushed by unfeeling;
Careless and ruthless
indifference.

Lying lifeless, untouched;
Reminds us; that
Which hurts, hurts all.

Heavy hearts weep,
Sorrow overflowing;
Healing, energy released.

Great Spirit remains,
Always giving;
Never taking away.
