Autumn Leaves

volume 6 number 7

My Quaker Meeting
by Lester Heritage

Here in the quiet of Meeting,
With my friends on every First Day,
The thoughts that always enter my mind
Are too numerous to relay.

I listen to the messages of others.
With most I admit I agree.
Some I don't fully understand,
But their meanings through the week come to me.

I always look forward to Meeting
Each week on every First Day.
They are almost like family reunions.
I enjoy them and treat them that way.
