Autumn Leaves

volume 6 number 7

Untitled
by AmB (aka Powwow Bunny)

Oh Great Eagle,
whose voice I hear
calling in the wind,
deliver for me my prayer,
to the Great Spirit.
On wings of power
soar into the sky
and deliver my message.
Tell him of my life,
tell him of my wishes.
Tell him I pray to him
and that I respect him.
Oh Great Eagle,
my long lost brother,
tell him I've found a dream
and that I ask to keep it.
Soar for me,
for I am weak,
for I am helpless.
You are stronger than I, brother.
I ask you, carry my dream
to our Grandfather.
Let him smile upon us
as he sees we help each other.
And if you need help,
cry into the wind.
Our sister will bring me news,
and I will do everything
to keep you safe, my brother.
Ride on the wind,
carry my dream,
as it is of you.
