Autumn Leaves

volume 6 number 7

49 Continuation
by Seeyouma

The sun starts to set over the western horizons
The shadows start to dance across the canyon walls
Soon the shadows will turn to night
As the moon rises in its glistening light
As we feel the chill of the cool night breeze
As we see the frost in the cold night air
Then the crowd starts to gather
Suddenly the mood changes and starts to set in
Nothing else seems to matter
As the dust starts to settle
The time is right
As the drums begin the night
We see the bonfire roaring to the beat of the drums
Suddenly 49 continuation begins to run
The crowd starts to mingle
There is laughing and singing
Listen to the singers tell their stories
Of all our native glories
And to hear the glorious voices of the women singing
In harmony as one spirit song rings out
As it cuts through the winds of each song's choices
The crowd joins in with song and dance
As their shadows dance from the fires light
And we see the fire's ashes dance through the night
Soon the joy of song and dance starts to settle
As the morning chill fills the air
Soon the morning rays fill the heavenly skies
The roaring fire becomes a flicker of light
One by one the crowd drifts from the fire that once was
Soon there is sweet silent
As we wait for 49 continuation once again
