God Bless America

by Donna Wallace

God put his arms around us,
And He said, "Be Strong."
I am right here beside you,
Where I belong.

There are things you will not understand,
Things that have to be.
Keep the Faith and keep the Trust,
Don't give up Believing in Me.

There will be cowardly acts; acts of war,
These things have been written of,
They should be read not be ignored,
The world right now needs love.

Love one another, brother to brother,
Help each other out, lend a hand.
I am God there'll never be another,
I still am in command.

Though it seems like I've ignored you,
Like I've let you suffer in pain,
I see what the evil are doing,
And there lives will be in vain.

Be strong, America, be Brave,
For evil will never win.
Love one another no matter of race,
And let the healing begin.
