For Our Freedom

by Jim Nasium

much caffeine and nicotine, a battle scene
is on my TV again today
no-doze, ready for foes, do you suppose
it's time for us all to pray

turban head, words unsaid, many dead
will they come back again
wondering who, we can turn to, and what to do
now that the USA needs a friend

ready to fight, I'd leave tonight, it's only right
now that it's time to go to war
battle plans, across the land, understand
that we have to even the score

children cry, adults ask why, the innocent die
we've been attacked and it makes me cry
my uniforms tight, but it feels alright, I'm ready to fight
for our freedom I am ready to die
