They Don't Talk Much Anymore

by Jim Nasium

They worked hard to get what they had
they ran their business from the eighty-first floor
of the pride of New York The WTC
but that building ain't there any more

they lost everything that they held dear
their friends, some family and more
they'll never forget what happened that day
they don't talk much any more

9-11 was not a good day for them
even though they were out of town
when they heard what happened they went back home
to see their building in pieces on the ground

destroyed by someone's insane idea
to some how even the score
they sit silently in the waiting area now
they don't talk much anymore
