Autumn Leaves

Intense

by Russell Golata

The adrenaline rush as your hands start to tingle.
You can feel your pulse rise as your blood and oxygen mingle.
You seize each second with all your might.
Don't back down from anything without a fight.
Like a leaf on a tree you have 2 sides:
One shiny and smooth and everything nice.
One with veins exposed and tines and mites.
The shooting star flashes across the cloudless night sky.
You don't want to blink your eyes or you'll miss where it flies.
In a matter of seconds the shooting star is all gone.
Maybe it's in a better place where it rightly belongs.
Live everyday as if it were your last.
Because the wheel of time is turning too fast.
