A Tribute to Leonard Peltier

by Lynda "Spiritdove" Imburgia

Cold steel bars enclose him
A tiny darkened cell
Alone he sits and writes us
About his private hell

Innocent he bravely waits
For truth to loose his chains
While his body weakens
Full of aches and pains

His spirit shines so brightly
Strongheart to the core
He loves his people fiercely
They love him even more

We won't forget our Brother
We never have, you see,
Because we won't rest peacefully
Until Leonard is FREE!
