Rainy Day in June

by Jessica Dawn Hubbard

As I lay awake I listen to the rain
The thunder has never sounded quite the same way
The lightning lights up the horizon with a flash
Hail hits the puddles outside with a splash
Wind dies down when it gets about noon
A rainbow ends the rainy day in June
