Autumn Leaves

volume 2 number 6

Untitled

by Andrew Repenning

A Halloween with full moon bright
Gives me such a fright.

My sister, she grows lots of hair,
And howls and growls everywhere.

My brother, Nick, is out of sight.
Put nicely, he's not the same every night.

The night before rained toilet paper.
"Knock down graves," cried the grim reaper.

Trick or treaters turn to zombies,
Taking candy from people's mommies.

Witches, goblins, and blobbers:
Halloween brings lots on monsters.

Quietly I shut the door.
That's it. There isn't any more.
