Red, Yellow

by Andrew Repenning

Red, yellow, orange, and brown:
you see them in and out of town,
in the trees and in the air.
You can see them everywhere:
on the horses and the birds,
even in the cow filled herds.
You see them as you drive
straight down highway five.
Red, yellow, orange: your hue
makes me think you grow on dew
as I look at every leaf.
I'll see you later for I must leave.
