Merry Christmas

by Anita Knox

Going to school concerts, watching special shows,
Christmas music in the air everywhere one goes.
Family and friends, making cookies for all,
Planning get-togethers where all have a ball.

Trimming the family tree, everyone gets together.
Everyone is welcome no matter what the weather.
Wrapping special presents, sending all your cards,
Visit the neighborhood, enjoy the lighted yards.

It's a happy time of year, no matter what religion,
No matter what you celebrate, you'll have lots of fun.
Here is my wish for all of you, no matter where you are,
Have a very merry one! Get ready to turn the calendar.
