Autumn Leaves

volume 2 number 5

Untitled

by Ed Latham

I met God the other day
Down to the river
I was looking for something to kill
He was sitting on a rock

Water brown and dirty
Sky a half assed gray
Lookin' up at me he smiled
Yellow teeth, a hound at bay

I'll answer one question
He spit at me
Only one
That's all

I never got my answer
All I asked was WHY
He looked surprised when I cut his throat
I felt warm while I watched him die.
