Mother's Day 2006

by Larry Kibby

She is a mother and a wife,

The giver of life,

She is a doctor and a nurse,

A divine creation from the earth,

She is a genuine relation

Of the Sovereign Nation.

She is devoted and wise,

Understands the smallest cries,

Will be with you through the night,

Holding you forever tight,

She is a genuine relation

Of the Sovereign Nation.

No matter if you are right or wrong,

Her love for you is always strong,

She'll pick you up when you fall,

And stand with you very tall,

She is a genuine relation

Of the Sovereign Nation.

All through your years,

They soothed your fears,

Held you when you were sad,

Laughed with you when you were glad,

She is a genuine relation

Of the Sovereign Nation.

So for the ones that gave us birth,

Who stood us upon Mother Earth,

Who showed us pride and dignity,

And taught us how to have pity,

Mothers are indeed a genuine relation,

The creation of our generation,

Matriarchs of the Sovereign Nation.
