Celebrate My Life

by Rebecca Hammons

After I have gone from this earth,

Remember my life, remember my worth.

For I was put here for a reason,

But I have not lived my final season

So don't grieve for me, celebrate my life,

Remember me as a good mother and wife.

Celebrate the friend that you saw in me,

And be happy for the person that is now free.

Keep my memories in your heart,

Then we will never be far apart.

Remember me with fondness and with care,

For when you remember I will be there.

Don't grieve for me too long, my love,

For I am with our Father above.

I will wait patiently for you on the other side,

And as long as you remember me, I haven't really died.
