Starwish

For Joy

by C. David Hay

Your touch is always present

Like the wind upon my face.

I listen for your laughter,

I long for your embrace.

All my dreams are given wings,

My mind is free of fear.

The days are full of happiness

Because your love is near.

You light my path on darkest nights,

You show me that you care.

My courage has no limits

As long as you are there.

Somewhere it's written in the stars,

I feel it in my heart—

We were meant to share our lives

And never be apart.

I put no faith in chance or fate

But seek the higher view;

I believe there is a God—

Because He gave me you.
