Spring String

by Sandy Vrooman

rumble tumble rush

spring barges into blossom

and sighs

first sign

bird craftsmen build

twig by twig

trees rush forth

open arms stretched out

shaking into green

sleepy seeds

burst their prisons

sun dancing

evening's chill

challenges dreamers

into poets

and the wheel

turns ever onward

again
