Silent Tale

by Nimchira

Laughing and gurgling,

Bubbling along,

Carving its way,

Steady and strong.

So clean and clear,

The rocky bottom

Tells of its travels

With a lilting song.

Oh wither away,

Little rolling brook,

And be to the Earth

Like lover to lover.

Then surrender yourself

In the arms of the ocean,

Under a winter's moon,

Wither away, Little rolling brook.

Wither away,

Hurry anon,

Don't look back,

The past is gone.
