Dews of Quietness

by Sondra Ball

Dews of quietness

drop

till strain and stress

stop,

our strivings cease,

and we confess

beauty and peace.

Over desire,

above

fear unexpired,

love,

God's holy balm.

Speaking through fire:

small voice of calm.
