Crazy World

by John Hopkins

Man, it's a crazy world

The proof is everywhere,

A football star is killing dogs

And one pooch is a millionaire!

Don't know if I'm coming or going

Or whether to laugh or cry;

But I'm afraid to use a men's room

And give off signals to some guy!

Hurricanes and tidal waves

Crash against the shore,

And despite all the evidence

Bush says we'll win the war!

Oilmen pleading poverty

While, to our surprise,

Exxon posts record profits

Right before our eyes.

Temperatures are really high

Is it global warming?

I keep hearing 'bout killer bees

And northward they are swarming!

Some want to build a fence

Along the Mexican border

There's lead in our toys,

And pesticides in the water.

Man, it's a crazy world,

All so discombobulated;

Obesity is on the rise

The housing market deflated.

Do I vote for Hillary

Or should it be Obama?

And what is the difference

Between alpaca and a llama?

Pluto's not a planet

A meteor could strike earth

Everything is topsy turvy

But I guess it could be worse.

I could find myself in jail

Like Paris Hilton or Lohan,

I could find out the hard way

That Ru Paul is a man!

Yeah, it's a crazy world

But I like it because

Each day I get to share

A crazy little thing called love
