Stranded

by Hannah Gilfix

Stranded:

A cold feeling of desperation mounted in

my stomach.

I glanced around. No one there.

No one to tell how I got there,

to recount why I was there.

Stranded,

on a deserted island.

Stuck,

in the middle of nowhere.

Helpless without friends and family,

what to do?

I took a deep

breath,

and did my best to calm

down;

Not easy.

I did not like

the idea of leaving behind everything,

but it was obvious that

I

was to start a new

life.

Ready or not.

One Breath:

one breath

makes the

difference

between right

and

wrong.

one breath

changes the world

from happiness to

greatness

one little

breath

is the difference between

life and

death
