Go My Sweet Child

by Terry Collett

Go my sweet child,

Seek other arms to hold and wish you well;

This old guy's had his fill of kiss and tell

And wishing well when all needs done and sent away.

Go my angel of short wings,

Seek some other ear to pull

And fill with droll and dull debate,

This guy's undone his ears and mind

And buries all for match and fire

And wishes night's moon

Would wane like candle's flame

When chill wind blows it to a dull sleep.
