Breath

by Harvest McCampbell

my eyes

behold you

across the

ancient miles

the chasms

of soul

and land

across these

lifetimes

separated by deserts

plains

the mountainous

forests of

my dreams

my eyes

behold you

distantly

and yet

we inhale

one breath

and

almost

touch

i hear

your voice

in the depths

of

silence

"where are

you"

i am right

here

beside you

distantly

across these

ancient miles

these chasms

of soul

and land

separated

by lifetimes

by waving plains

and desert

sands

i am right

here

beside you

in the forested

mountains

of my

dreams

distantly

my eyes

behold you

we almost

touch

and inhale

one

breath
